C3 works in Mauritius as an independent local association: Community Centred Conservation (C3). Mauritius is located in the western Indian Ocean, to the east of Madagascar. It is one of the most developed countries in Africa, however, its remarkable marine environment is currently under threat from anthropogenic influences such as coastal development, tourism and overfishing.
