Mapping and monitoring of natural resources and biodiversity
C3 has a wide range of expertise in the monitoring of the natural resources and biodiversity that communities around the world depend on for subsistence and income. We work with some of the poorest communities and most threatened species and habitats around the world.
We have mapped seagrass and coral reef habitats in collaboration with local stakeholders in Palau, Comoros and Madagascar.
We have assessed cetacean and shark diversity and their interactions with artisanal fisheries throughout the western Indian Ocean Islands.
One of our most successful, ongoing projects has been our strong partnership with the community of Hoani, Moheli, Comoros to monitor their nesting population of green sea turtles since 2008.
