SIMON MACE (UK) Simon graduated in Zoology from the University of Leeds in 2007. His third year project looked at trade-offs in the defences of two gastropod prey species and plans to publish this work in Marine Ecology Progress Series. Since leaving University he has worked for the Nottingham Environment Agency studying water samples from around the UK. |

SETH BARLOW (UK) Seth Graduated from Cardiff University with a BSC in Marine Geography and after numerous field trips completed a dissertation on the decline of the Cornish fisheries. His interests are in integrated coastal management and eco tourism. |

MARTA MAININI (ITALY) Marta studied Human Sciences of the Environment, Territory and Landscapes at the University of Milan. Her main research interests focus on biodiversity conservation through sustainable development of natural resources, cooperation with local communities and protection of endangered species. She has worked with loggerhead turtles and ecotourism in Sicily. |

GARY HASKINS (UK) Gary has a degree in Marine Biology and previously worked studying the North Sea minke whale and bottlenose dolphin population as a field researcher and marine mammal stranding rescue co-ordinator. |

CATHERINE FRANCESCON (ITALY / UK) Catherine recently completed her BSc in International Biology at the University of Leeds where after studying for a year in Italy her final project involved researching the effects of forest fragmentation on species richness in the tropics. She volunteered in 2006 with Global Vision International in Mexico on a coral reef monitoring project. |

ELIZABETH WINDMEYER (USA) Elizabeth graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a BS in Animal Science. Her interests are in marine conservation and research. She worked on a growth and migration study of grouper in the Gulf of Mexico and aided in rescue and rehabilitation of pinnipeds near Boston, Massachusetts. |

KATHERINE ROBERTSHAW (UK) Katherine has a degree in Zoology and an LLM in Environmental Law and Policy from Newcastle University, UK. She has already worked on an high-profile international conservation programme – the reintroduction of the Przewalski Horse in Mongolia. |
