COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT ACADEMY - CoZMAc Indian Ocean

C3 is addressing the urgent need for regional training in coastal zone management through the establishment of the Coastal Zone Management Academy (CoZMAc) in Mauritius.  The Academy will offer internationally-accredited qualifications in all aspects of coastal zone management, including marine park planning, environmental economics, ecotourism development and climate change mitigation.  Only by building technical capacity throughout the region can coastal zone management efforts become both sustainable and effective.  The development of the Academy is being made possible through commitment from governments, the private sector and donor agencies.
