SUSTAINABILITY

All of C3's work has a strong emphasis on ensuring sustainability, and when planning projects, priority is placed on the continuation of the work after donor funding has ended.

Examples of the legacies left by our projects include:

• A locally-managed incidental sighting system for dugong in Palau

• Recommendations incorporated into National Management Plan for the Rock Islands Conservation Area in Palau

• Accredited, auto-financed Marine Tour Guide training course for tour guides in Palau

• Hoani Conservation Centre and teams of local  rangers trained to protect against turtle poaching and promote ecotourism
